Battle In The Snow

(( this is a plot/cannon post between my characters. As biz is clearly going on, RP's are closed so that the outcome will not be changed))

As Lucy stood, malicious intent in her eyes and a smudge of hungry drool in the corner of her mouth, Lance responded. He held out his left hand and aimed it towards her. His left hand, beginning at the middle finger, touched the candy gem on his sleeve and pulled back as if he were stringing a bow and arrow. It a swift movement he pulled his arm back, sending a purple burst of magic at Lucy.

While it he had done this, taking a time of roughly one second, Lucy had adjusted her shoulder blades. From her back protruded icy spines that seemed to chill the room with their presence. Then her eyes and hands began to glow. an invisible wind blew around her as she powered up.

Percy Drew his sword with some difficulty seeing as how he only had one hand. Even still he readied it and poised for action.

The magic burst from Lance flew towards Lucy. She caught it and in one move she dragged it from the air, passed it through her spines, and sent it at Percy. He slashed through the attack, light flowing out on each side of him. A bit of it caught his extra sleeve. It caught fire at the edge but Lance conjured a cool Peppermint Wind to snuff it out. Lucy tossed more blasts at them but the duo slashed and blasted them out of the room. They took care not to send the attacks back at Lucy for fear of hitting Penelope.

"Come on boys, this won't work unless you attack me!" She screamed.

"I refuse to hurt a lady, let alone a friend." Percy said.

Lance looked at Percy with his mouth slightly ajar. "We won't attack her? I mean, she's like a little sister, I don't want to hurt her either, but shouldn't we attack to incapacitate?"

Percy shook his head. Although he knew it would be much easier for them to just break her arm of her leg, he recalled the pain felt when he lost his limb. The excruciating pain would haunt his for years to come, plaguing his dreams, but he didn't want anything like that for Lucy. While she looked like she would chew them up and spit them out at a moments notice, she was still just a little girl.

"We just have to find another way to get the crown."

"I guess you want me to lose an arm too." Lance muttered under his breath.

"Nothing of the sort!"

Percy lunged forward.
